What I wish I'd known...

As we play with our baby dolls as little girls, many of us imagine having real babies of our own.

And many really don't. Maybe you played with blocks and trucks instead of baby dolls and bottles, and mama-hood wasn't ever on the radar.

But then suddenly, there we are... mamas. With a tiny human looking up at us, as if we have all the right answers to everything. And we REALLY want to have all the right answers!

And we realize that we have tons of questions of our own! How will we ever have all the answers for this little baby?!

Honestly, you won't. But here are five of the things most of us "seasoned" mamas wish we'd known before we became mamas:

5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Becoming a Mama

  • The love you can feel for a child is indescribable. Even in the midst of frustration, there is that unbelievable love.

  • The importance of quality time spent with your child - at any age - is invaluable. And there are myriad definitions of what quality time looks like. Find yours.

  • It is important to take care of yourself in order to be the best parent you can be. Read that again - take care of you, too!

  • Parenting is a team effort - don’t be afraid to ask for help from family, friends, or professionals. Super heroes always have a side-kick. You are a super hero!

  • You will make mistakes and learn from them, but you will still be a great parent.

Happy 2023 from all the mamas at Foreverly Boxes!
